1 Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can activate this effect toremove from play up to one card each from your opponent's hand, fieldand Graveyard. (The card in the hand is chosen at random.)
Why does it matter?
● Extremely powerful card taken off of the banlist.
● De-Synchro breaks this card even more than usual.
● Amazing effect allows for major advantage.
● Makes Synchro Summoning a lot of relevant.
● Can attack during the turn the effect is applied.
● It is important to note that you can not see the opponent's hand. The card is random.
It should have been obvious that I'd be doing this one next. The card is simply a broken and unfair card that I still can't even contemplate coming back. This card was banned for obvious reasons, and since it is finally back, this is the best way for Konami to say that they are taking Synchros very seriously, and that they're coming back. A generic level 9? That's also pretty awesome, despite needing 2 non-turners. That's the card's "down side" being that this does actually make it take thought to summon. But once you do, it sets off a huge chain reaction of a potential rage quit. Effect Veiler is a wonderful answer, though De-Synchro can just troll you hard and redo the effect. A very potent card, and with highly impressive stats to boot.
It's a pretty devastating card to use at any point. I suggest when hand size is low, though.
Advanced Format: 9/10
I have to assume it's going to make a major impact, all things considered.
Traditional Format: 7.5/10
While I have to give it the praises it deserves, Traditional Format is a much scarier place, and there's a lot of more powerful options. It still is highly regarded as one of the most powerful cards, regardless.

Definitely a powerful monster but since i wasn't around during it's 'glory days' I always wondered why was it banned?, him and dark strike fighter as well, trish has a great effect but summoning him isn't an easy feat requiring at least 3 monsters which would leave you at a great disadvantage if he's veilered/solumoned, additionally the opponent isn't exactly screwed if he didn't have a veiler. I haven't quite wrapped my head around decks that would make a comeback with his return, I saw gustos and 6 sams summoning him fairly quick, maybe x-sabers would be buffed idk.
anyways being able to pwn me twice he'll get a solid 9 from me.

no, no. Trishula was banned because of a format (march 2011, if I'm not mistaken) where dewloren and formula synchron were at 3. Konami quickly changed that in the next format, and then later banned trishula altogether. Look up Trishula loop and you'll see why; and guaranteed that if trish is unbanned, the loop decks will show up again in some manner or another.

There honestly is not much to say about Dark Strike Fighter. It sounds like a loss of advantage to use, but it really did wreck the format in 2009. That's before my time, but I know that every other game someone was OTK'ing with this card. It was far worse than having your opponent big eye you three times last format, even. Since you never even got a chance to play if they went first. Imagine Karakuri using this deck, if you don't understand how easy it can be for one to synchro consistently and swarm in just one turn. The card is most notable for Blackwings and Rescue Cat decks, though. It in all honesty can never come back, and it taught Konami how to add "Once per turn" to their cards, which wasn't enough and subsequently has since been replaced by "Once per turn, and only once that turn".

Doesn't trish's effect not target because of the fact that the one in the hand is random?

Correct. Trishula does not target.
De-Synchro is a legitimate way to abuse Trish, but it is win-more at best. Definitely not necessary, especially when people are gonna be using Maxx "C" to regenerate whatever hand advantage they'd lose from Trish anyway.
That said, Trishula's applications in Mermail Atlantean decks are ridiculously scary...Dragon Ruler Plants can also get it out easily enough. Card is definitely gonna make an impact in competitive decks.

If your opponent uses trishula to banish a card in your grave and you dd crow on that target, do the cards in thand and field banish themselves?

Wow, I wish this card could come back to TCG. At least Goyo Guardian will return.
