So the most broken deck in the history of YGO, Dragon Rulers, also called Elemental Dragons. Yes, they are so broken they are declared as Tier 0, Dragon Rulers focus on hand plays and removing from play dragons to bring out their "Adult Dragon", and by removing, searching out those "Baby" Dragons. This OP archetype is hated by non-meta users who are praying that they will be hit... But will they?

A few weeks ago Konami released an article on all the top meta decks giving hints as to which cards they will ban/hit from each archetype. According to the article and many of the reviewers the ONLY card that they were talking about hitting was... Super Rejuvenation!



Super Rejuvenation

Spell Card, Quick Play

During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated draw 1 card from your deck for each Dragon-Type monster discarded from your hand and/or tributed during this turn.

OP right!? With this card you can easily refill your resources and draw around 5 cards during your end phase. Well anyways, Konami seemed convinced that they were going to ban this card and leave the rest of the Dragon Rulers alone. To be honest for some users this wouldn't come as much of a surprise as Dragon Rulers are relatively new to TCG (IRL) so Konami wouldn't take away the fun so quickly.


Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos


If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 FIRE and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 FIRE monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. If this card is banished: You can add 1 FIRE Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Really nice card n general you can also run this card in a Battlin' Boxer deck to give it more explosiveness, you can discard this and 1 other Battlin' Boxers card then pop 1 card on the field then simply summon Switchhitter and revive your discarded Battlin' Boxer to the field then go for a instant Lead Yoke. This card goes well a lot of Fire archetypes like the ones I just mentioned as well as decks such as Flamvell, Fire Kings or Fire Fists.


Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls

If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 WATER and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 WATER monster to the Graveyard; send 1 monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. If this card is banished: You can add 1 WATER Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Here again a great card runs well in Mermails if you find space for personally I find this card better than Genex Undine although many would disagree. In situations where you cannot run an Abyssmegalo (generally IRL), this is a great card to tech in.


Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms

If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 WIND and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 WIND monster to the Graveyard; add 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. If this card is banished: You can add 1 WIND Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

The wind counterpart of the OP archetype. This card can also go into other cards to make them run faster. Dragunities for example get certain huge boost from this card also if you are going for A/M Dragunities this is a good card to squeeze into your deck


Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders

If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 EARTH and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 EARTH monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. If this card is banished: You can add 1 EARTH Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

This is a good defensive card even in Elemental Dragons which goes for all-out offense. Have this card and Stygian Dirge and Skill Drain out on the field and your opponent cannot do anything to you, No Big Eye, No Dracossack. Apart from its own archetype this card goes well in earth based decks for example Karakuri or Scraps, giving you instant pluses

Personally, I think Konami should just ban pure E-drags like the duel academies do. The dragons themselves are extremely valuable for their respective attribute-decks that would be useless without their help.

There's no doubt that this deck is annoying like hell, and I personally hate it a LOT, from the day I saw and read about those dragons I said their effects are simply silly. Konami won't ban any of the dragons like some people say or hope, Konami will ban things like Nightshade said Cards making them OP such as Super Rejuvenation & hopefully Big Eye/Draco gets their piece of the banning, Unlikely to happen but let's hope lol.
