Time to introduce a funny but pretty strong archtype: DESKBOTS! (They are more than just some toys )
|
The Main Monsters
Deskbot 001- Effect:
(1) This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each Machine-Type monster you control. (2) If 2 or more Machine-Type monsters are Special Summoned at the same time while this card is in your Graveyard (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card.”.
This is a funny little Tuner that boosts itself by 500 ATK for each Machine-type monster you control! It can also revive itself from the graveyard for even more shenanigans.
Deskbot 002- Effect:
(1) If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Deskbot" card from your Deck to your hand. (2) All Machine-Type monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF, except this card.
The main searcher of the deck, which also boosts all other Machine-type monsters by 500 ATK and DEF. Deskbot 003 - Effect:
(1) When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Deskbot" monster from your Deck, except "Deskbot 003". (2) Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 "Deskbot" monster you control; it gains 500 ATK and DEF for each "Deskbot" card you currently control, until the end of this turn.
The Deskbot that is the core of the deck. Being able to Special Summon a Deskbot from your deck, except itself, and also boosting a Deskbot's ATK and DEF even more... perfect synergy with 001 & 002. Deskbot 004- Effect:
(1) If this card battles an opponent's monster, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can activate this effect once per battle; your opponent takes no battle damage for the rest of this turn, also send 1 "Deskbot" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, except "Deskbot 004", and if you do, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to the sent monster's Level x 500, during that damage calculation only. (2) If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can Special Summon 2 "Deskbot" monsters with different Levels from your hand and/or Graveyard in Defense Position.
When this card battles, you'll drop whichever piece you need, then, after it has destroyed a monster by battle, you can revive 2 (Different) Deskbots for free. Note: 001's effect doesn't trigger, because this happens in the damage step! Deskbot 005- Effect:
[hide] Pendulum Effect You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Deskbot" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Monster Effect: (1) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it. This card gains 500 ATK for each face-up "Deskbot" monster in your Extra Deck. (2) If this card in the Pendulum Zone is destroyed: You can target 1 "Deskbot" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Deskbot 005" once per turn.
This first Pendulum Monster for this archtype (though normally you'd not Pendulum Summon with this deck). Drop this one with 004, then in the same damage step, pop some of your opponent's backrow. Since it is in the damage step your opponent usually can't answer with their backrow. |
Usefull Cards
- Machine Dupplication - Easily gets multiple 002's for their search effects and boosts or 003's for a massive min 4500 boost.
- Inferno Reckless Summon - Same as Machine Duplication, except it can also the other ones.
- Call of the Haunted - Revive a 001 for easy synchro summons, 002 for an easy search/set-up, 003 for easy boosts, 004 for a comeback field or 005 to destroy backrow your opponnent just set in their end phase. (Note: 005 will only hit the field when sent there from the deck or when it's summon is negated etc., since it's a Pendulum Monster.)
- Powerfull Rebirth - Also Revives your monsters (except 005) and pumps them a level up, giving easier access to some synchro & xyz options.
- Mathemagician - Send the Deskbot you need to Special Summon with CotH or PR to the grave.
- Naturia Beast/Barkion - All monsters are EARTH and it's fairly easy to get 001 + 004/(002+002) or 001 + 005/(002+003).
- Limiter Removal - Used for more boosting, though I'd say they boost themselves enough already.
- Machina Fortress - This is more used for a burning abyss & qliphort match-up, giving them a lil' trouble to deal with it.
- Geargiauger/Geargiaccelerator - Used for making GGX, then searching 003.
- Ancient Gear Box - Also used for searching 003.
- Double Summon - Summon 003, Special 002. Search 2nd 003. Then use Double Summon to Summon another 003 and Special 001.
- Gigantes - If you're having trouble with heavy backrow decks.
|
Easy Combo's
- Summon 003, Special Summon 002; Use 002's effect to search another 003
- Next turn: Normal Summon 003, Special 001.
- ATK Total: 001 (2500), 002 (500), 003's (1000 each + 2000 Boost each) = 9000.
Cards Needed:
- 1x 003
- 1 other Deskbot in your hand (prefer 001 or 002)
Combo
- Summon 003, Special Summon 004;
- Attack an opponent's monster with 004, using it's effect to ditch whatever you need. Then Special Summoning it after you have destroyed the opponent's monster.
|
Now to name the Pros & Cons of this archetype Pros
- OTK potential.
- Easy board control and removal by battle.
- Easy Comebacks potential.
- Doesn't have to rely on extra deck to win.
Cons
- Struggles without being able to search or Special Summon.
- Combo-Reliant.

A fun archtype of small machines that power-up the more you get. One of my favourite archtypes so far. If you have additions, comments or questions, feel free to post em below!

| Nice Guide Neo it's an interesting deck i remember reading about this awhile ago it's good to see what combo's can be done with it but there is something about this deck which makes most people just ignore it maybe it's name or maybe people will take notice of it more when it gets more support & changes have been done to the banlist. |
