pretty short article. card is bust against nekroz.

I forgot about this card completely, I see that it really does hurt nekroz early on the game but only if they do summon manju/senju. Not that devastating but it does hurt. 

A small correction, the nekroz player doesn't have to reveal his hand to confirm he has no fairy-type monsters in his hand, because there are no Fairy type 'Nekroz' ritual monsters "yet". See Mind crush with limited/semi-limited cards. I could be wrong tho.

Yeah, it's public knowledge that no Fairy-Type Nekroz Monsters exist yet.

Also, Rivalry has its applications but I feel like better side cards exist against Nekroz. Things like Mind Crush, Vanity's Emptiness, Shared Ride, Kycoo...things that either disrupt or punish them for searching and Special Summoning, or even from banishing from the Graveyard. Rivalry also seems pretty limited in application since it doesn't really hurt Qliphort that much, either.

And although the pros and cons may be obvious to you, you're a teacher on the site, so it's part of your duty to enlighten others who may not find the pros and cons of the card so obvious exactly what they are.

Well, this card has lost a lot of use over time. The same really goes for Gozen Match. Remember Plant Synchro? We are a long way from there. New archetypes typically having one or two types, and generally just one attribute... It's an archetype-based game, and that really hurts both of the two cards. Even though Rivalry of Warlords is hypothetically amazing against Nekroz, it still doesn't quite work when the fashionable meta is almost exclusively archetypes, much less those who include the same type and attribute (Qlip, Tellar, Ritual Beast, ect).
