it can be good in a deck that needs to pay life points and control life point totals (for example, a draw deck with hope for escape) and can also combo off nicely with burial from a different dimension. The card has it's practical uses.

Not to mention you can use it to clear your opponent's hand of honest/fader and the like before doing a big move.

Paying 2000 Life Points is generally reserved for the Solemn Warnings, the most powerful cards in the game. Your opponent activates their Trap Stun, you still pay 2000 Life Points as well as revealing your hand. This is why Counter Traps are the best. For such a steep cost, it doesn't really last. The opponent gets the card back. You can't try to be clever and play it when you don't have a hand either, you can not reveal nothing. This is a cost. That is why this card ultimately fails.

Although It's cost is steep It does something very unique, there's not a lot of cards that let's banish cards from the opponent's hand. Surely it's not effective in most today decks but it definitely can be utilized in specific decks, e.g decks that can gain resources from the banished zones can use the r3 daigusto to permanently take their opponent's monster! and that's just one example.
