(March 2013 Advanced TCG Format)

Almost six months ago, the competitive Yu-Gi-Oh scene was ruled by three ferocious decks. At the beginning of the March 2013 Format, Dinosaurs, Fire Fists, and Mermails dominated the metagame. Now, as that Format comes to a close, the decks-in-charge have been replaced by three metagame-defining archetypes – Dragon Rulers, Prophecy, and Evilswarms. Or not.

Contrary to popular belief, the Dino-Rabbit strategy is not dead. When combined with Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders and the Plant-Synchro Engine, Dino-Rabbit is actually as powerful and unpredictable as it has ever been.

The goal of Dino-Rabbit Plants is simple:
1.      To summon an Evolzar XYZ monster or a powerful Synchro monster as soon as possible
2.      To make your opponent waste his/her resources trying to remove your monster from the field

Dino-Rabbit Plants (see below) uses Redox’s many abilities to abuse the Earth Attribute of Sabersaurus and Two-Headed King Rex when they are stuck in the hand or in the graveyard. Crane Crane, another Earth monster, creates instant Rank 3 XYZ summons from the large number of Level 3 monsters in the deck. Rescue Rabbit and Tour Guide from the Underworld perform as they do in the standard Dino-Rabbit Deck. Dandylion, Debris Dragon, Lonefire Blossom, and Spore work together to annoy your opponent with tokens and to overwhelm him/her with powerful Synchro monsters like Shooting Star Dragon and Crimson Blader.

Make Rex Raptor proud. Give this deck a shot and leave your comments below. If you want to share your rogue strategies with RDA’s Magazine, please PM me your decklist with a screenshot and an explanation of how it works.
