| Day 12 - Superheavy.... Insects?
----------------------- I was going to do a lead-in about how Superheavy decks generally all feel the same to me, but then I noticed LoudFist did a generally similar deck today. With no offense intended, I wanted to make a deck that really sort of pushed the limits of what's actually okay for a deck like this. If you'll notice, there's a strong emphasis on Xyz summoning here, as opposed to the usual Synchro strategy. I've done quite a lot of Synchro decks already at this point, so I decided that I'd have a completely different take on a deck that usually has 10-20 of the cards as predictable.
The engine works, probably not as well as I'd have liked, but it does work. Gorz and Doom Dozer do make for an intense surprise for an unsuspecting opponent, and it does create a lot of frustration on their end, I tell you. Another surprise, I'm testing out some traps in this build! These are cards that can just as well be banished from the game in the turn after activation, so it's really of no concern to the idea of the deck not being able to use any spells or traps. The Synchros that I do use are there due to my own tastes, rather than themed based off of the archetype of the deck. Perhaps the double-duo of Superheavy decks for today will inspire you too, to have your own take on the deck! |

| None offense taken ;]
It's fun to try different approaches, I tried a T.G mix once that tested fairly well. It didnt have any of the grave-only effects included. Instead it relied T.G striker and Soulpiercer to search scales and T.G rhino off 1 synchro, backed with the typical traps T.G stun ran. Thought it was a cool hybrid to share. |
