Subject: A "Hoban" Plan Fri Mar 13, 2015 12:40 pm#1
tl;dr : Patrick Hoban (a big player @ARG, as some of you might know) tricked people into siding their 'djinn-lock' in their Nekroz decks out, while he just switched the one in his main deck with a 2nd one in his side deck.
Personally I think that despite what Hoban did, being within the rules, I am still disgusted with the level of unprofessionalism taking place within the grounds of a tournament venue. He just deliberately mislead his opponents and showed an incredible lack of integrity.
Now I'd like to know how you think about this kind of actions by a rather famous yu-gi-oh player.

I agree with hoban that this deceiving is part of the game, but when he says it's the same as using vanity's emptiness. That when we part, It's not unethical to use vanity's emptiness, it's just part of the game that everyone knows. However tricking your opponent is indeed part of the game, and just like bluffing with face-downs, It's entirely your opponent's fault for falling in the 'trap'.

Saw this awhile back in the ARG events it's not classed as cheating in the konami official events it's seen more as cheating also u got to remember ARG you play for prize money etc so you will find more players trying to find ways to gain some sort of Advantage over other players.I'm sure most players wouldn't trust pro players to do the right thing in these events & it backfired on him he lost that duel lol.
