Just a simple question really, how do you guys think Yugi would adapt during this new generation of Yugioh. Say if he was transported into the future during Arc-V's time. 

He may have been the best duelist back in his era but he passed away before he got to see the new summoning methods. His deck is also outdated and I'm sure it would do poorly against these faster meta decks. 

It seems to me that Yugi's presence in Zexal and Arc V are completely wiped while in GX and 5D's he's hailed as one of the greatest duelists of all time.

remember Yugi sacks so.......you gotta consider that

he invented the definition of sacking.. so he has a very very slight chance lol

Lol I had forgotten, when it came to getting whatever card he needed the most out of any given situation, Yugi was the man.

Let's ignore the fact that all main characters will draw the right card in the right time cause of.. heart of the cards.. mostly. 


I think if Yugi would be in the new era, he'll be just fine, I'm sure he'd run something around his old decks yet modified with effects and support cards. I mean Konami can do anything =p

yea, the yugioh next movie will answer the mystery. but he and kaiba obviously will using the new cards and maybe OP.

Apparently, the new movie will feature Yugi and Kaiba as the protagonists that will revolve around their battle so I doubt it'll involve the future generations.

No chance at all unless he adjusts.

Guessing that yugi would have somethin new in their hands , perhaps a new divine dragon or something like that , also he would have the god cards so i guess he would be just fine.

Assuming that it's after GX that yugi comes back, I'd probably assume he's got a brand new deck that really is just all around OP against everything. It makes sense if you think about it, Konami makes a deck for everyone. So Yugi would get some new or atleast updated cards. So of course he'd be out there just mega saking! =3

You have to remember that with each new tournament Yugi competed in, he updated his deck. There's also the fact that Atem's play style is different than Yugi's. Yugi plays the card advantage game. He was using gadget stun before it was cool. I think combine his gadget stun deck with some of the newer cards, and he'll be able to keep up just fine.

In a way, we are soon to find out. A new movie with Yugi is coming relatively soon. I'm sure he keeps his Dark Magician in the deck, and has some nice support for it. Yugi generally has a nice and balanced deck. The idea of him having the most powerful cards in the game is a bit novel, and we've seen that he knows how to adjust to even Synchros. (Bonds Beyond Time is a canon movie)

Perhaps Yugi (and Kaiba) may even have some Pendulum cards in the new movie.

I would love to see a pendulum Blue eyes white dragon and a Pendulum dark magician and dark magician girl ;D
