A new card came in the OCG set 'crossed souls'

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Lose_A_Turn wrote:
Activate only if you control no Special Summoned monsters. The effects of all Special Summoned monsters are negated until the end of the turn. If an Effect Monster(s) is Special Summoned in Attack Position: Change it to Defense Position.

I think it's better than vanity
what do you think?

Why do I feel that this card is so old but no one used..or was an anime or something o.o
But yea, it's.. good in side to face decks that are all based about SSing (AKA all decks nowadays)
I'm still not sure if I'd personally run or not. I need to see how this card plays go~

Thanks for sharing Smile

It's a good card, but it's really not better then vanity's. Lose a turn negates effects of special summoned monsters for one turn, then switches special summoned monsters from attack to defense, while vanity stops special summoning all together. Yes lose a turn doesnt get destroyed when a card you control goes to the grave, but would you rather stop your opponent from special summoning all together, or let your opponent special summon, go to defense mode, and still get their effect off? but that's my opinion

Honestly the fact that you get to play your normal spells and traps along side this card makes it overall better.

That being said this one is clearly fits more with non-special summon focused decks. like volcanics, monarchs, Yosenju and other stun decks.

It sort of doubles over as a weak protection for Yosenju, a deck thriving upon normal summoning, but suffers from field presence loss during the opponent's turn. Personally? I would run 3 in Yosenju, but it sort of makes decks like Qlips really happy if you don't have an out to them pendulum summoning 5 monsters at once. Vanity's Emptiness, as awful a card as it is would arguably be better in a lot of decks. Konami really doesn't like cards that break Special Summoning too hard. I sure wish we could just have 1 Oppression again, rather than a bunch of knock-offs which ultimate overpower it just because you could run 3.

not useful against qli and nekroz, also i think its just negates when its activated. the continuous effect is not the negate, but the change position. and yh certain deck can have benefit of using this card.

OMG I want this card. Clown Control has it's own vanity's? Let's face it folks, it's JUST as good as vanity's to a clown control deck. Yea, your qlips summon 5 dudes in one turn, then they go to defense.... and I play tragedy. It's like it was MADE for clown control.
