I was told I could post my report in this section.

I'd like to report abuse from a well known mod, Master Marcus. Earlier today I entered the chatbox and proceeded to converse in a discussion already taking place. Soon afterwards I received disciplinary action. I believe my ban was unjust and a blatant abuse of Marcus's privileges. Prior to my ban he never explained which specific rule I had broken, even when I requested it. The entire conversation can be found in the link below. Use ctrl + F to find my posts.

I'll try to summarize the incident as best I can. As I said, I joined in on the conversation and made remarks on how I believed that there was no such thing as "player preference" and that it was just a common term used by someone who can't provide reasoning for their card choices. This soon led to a debate on said card choices and eventually marcus wanted the conversation to be dropped as he feels this would lead to a heated conflict(which I found to be a very silly thing to claim). When the conversation continued, marcus threatened to take action against members who wished to go forward with the topic. I refused and explained to him that I had done nothing wrong and was in no way fighting/insulting any members. He then asserts that I had broken the rules without mentioning which specific rule(s) and proceeds to ban me for an hour.

Chat Rules:

I would assume that I had violated the last rule on the list, according to marcus. I have in no way bullied, slandered, harassed, insulted or spread hate towards any members of the site at the time of the incident or ever attempted to do so. If this is not the case, then please provide quotes where I have done such harm. I feel the that this all stemmed from me not seeing eye to eye with views on the game. These claims are blatantly false and I feel marcus shouldn't have the right to ban anyone who doesn't agree with his opinions on yugioh.

I'd also like to take this moment to shine on an issue I've been meaning to address for a while now. I believe master marcus is a detriment to the growth of the site(lol i'm so dramatic) and i'll explain why. This isn't my first run-in with marcus, in fact, I've had occurrences similar to this one on multiple occasions. There have been times where marcus would halt a conversation immediately when there appears to be at least two opposites sides to an argument. This is completely unnecessary when there is no real conflict but rather a genuine discussion on a topic. He would hop into the middle of the conversation and demand it to stop and would soon threaten to take action if he didn't get his way. I find this to be quite the annoyance at times, especially when i'm enjoying the exchange or trying to make a point. FYI on the chance that this does happen, the chat become inactive because, guess what, that was the only conversation taking place(go figure). All socializing would die down for the moment simply because he didn't like what was being said. Don't get me wrong, there are times when these kinds  of reactions are necessary and measures must be taken into account but there are certainly times where it's completely unwarranted and unwanted. He views the smallest of engagements as heated bickering and i'm not sure why. It's like he tries to make everything seem like a fight when it's merely a small constructive debate. I'm starting to believe marcus is the type of person to make heroes and villains out of everything and everyone and I honestly find it difficult to tolerate. This makes things worse when marcus utilizes ad hominem and throws words  like "children" and "annoyances". This type of behavior deters socialization on RDA and harms the community in general when mods won't allow you to provide activity.

When the discussion started, everything went fine between MAAD and Marcus. Both members shared their opinions and point of view. However, the problem escalated when DRA-G-OON decided to enter the conversation and thought MAAD insulted Marcus, while he wasn't. Marcus, a moment later, told both members to drop the subject and move on, that's when MAAD an DRA-G-OON decided to refuse to follow Marcus' "order" to drop the subject and start another one, because of the drama that started to arise between the two members. Later on, DRA-G-OON accepted to drop the subject and move on, however, MAAD still refused to follow Marcus' order and that's when actions were taken. 

From my point of view, MAAD got banned for an hour for non-compliance (and it was legit after refusing a Chat Moderator's order to drop the conversation).
