Obedience Schooled is one of the coolest World Premiere cards in Legacy of the Valiant, and nobody saw it coming!  Want an instant Naturia Beast on Turn 1?  Sure.  Free Fabled Synchros?  Go for it.  Best Ojama Deck ever?  This card makes it happen!  Check out this beastly new Spell Card…
Teaching Three-Headed Dogs New Tricks! Schooled

If you control no monsters: Special Summon 3 Level 2 or lower Beast-Type Effect Monsters with different names from your Deck. Their effects are negated, and they are destroyed during the End Phase. If you activate this card, you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except Beast-Type monsters.
There are nearly forty Level 1 and Level 2 Beasts that you can Special Summon withObedience Schooled, and thanks to a number of Beast-Type Xyz and Synchro Monsters they’re just the beginning.  Let’s kick things off with a killer combo that’s really good thanks to all the Spells that are currently seeing play…
Teaching Three-Headed Dogs New Tricks! Beasted
Right off the bat, Obedience Schooled gives Beast Decks a massive play as early as Turn 1.  Just activate Obedience and Special Summon Key Mouse, plus any two Level 2 EARTH Beasts – I like Nimble Momonga and Wind-Up Kitten.  Since Key Mouse is a Level 1 Tuner and all three monsters are EARTH, you can instantly Synchro Summon Naturia Beast.  That’s huge against Spellbooks, and really great against Decks that rely on Fire Formation – Tenki like Fire Fists, Bujins, and Constellars.
And if making an instant Naturia Beast wasn’t enough, you can even run this play a few different ways!  While Obedience Schooled negates the abilities of whatever you Special Summon, you can still use monster effects that trigger in the Graveyard.  So if you SummonKey Mouse, you can slam it into a bigger monster to search your Deck for a Level 3 or lower Beast.  And you can ram Nimble Momonga, gain 1000 Life Points, and Special Summon two more Momongas from your deck while you’re at it.  Those freshly-Summoned Momongas won’t be destroyed by Obedience’s effect in your End Phase, because they weren’t Special Summoned by Obedience in the first place.
Teaching Three-Headed Dogs New Tricks! Duplicated
Want to get wacky with it?!  How about some OjamObediance for all you Ojamaddicts?

Shadow Specters brought new support for Ojama fans in the form of Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu.  It also gave us Baby Raccoon Ponpoko to search Ojama Blue.  That Ojama grabs important cards like Ojamagic and Ojama Country from your Deck, but to trigger its search effect Ojama Blue needs to be destroyed by battle.  Ponpoko was cool because you could Normal Summon it and use its effect to Special Summon Ojama Blue face-down from your Deck.  Then, you could Creature Swap it to your opponent and run it over to get your searches.

The problem was that since Ojama Blue came out in Defense Position with 1000 DEF, you needed to steal a bigger monster from your opponent with Creature Swap; Ponpoko’s 800 ATK wasn’t big enough to beat Ojama Blue in battle.  Even if you had all the cards, your best play wouldn’t always be possible.  Now?  Obedience Schooled makes that play even easier: it lets you Special Summon Ojama Blue in Attack Position with 0 ATK.
Activate Obedience to Special Summon Ojama Blue and two more Level 2 Beasts from your Deck: Baby Racoon PonpokoOjama Red, or Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter all work.  KeepOjama Blue, but overlay the other two Beasts to Xyz Summon Ronin Raccoon Sandayu.  Activate its effect and you’ll Special Summon a Kagemusha Raccoon Token with a minimum of 1000 ATK – the Token copies the Attack Points of the biggest monster on the field, even if that’s just the 1000 ATK Ronin Raccon Sandayu.
Now Creature Swap Ojama Blue for whatever your opponent has.  No matter what they give you, you’ll have your two Racoons to run over Ojama Blue and trigger its ability.  Not even a one-shot trap card like Dimensional Prison will stop you, because you’ll have so many attackers to get the job done.
Ojama Decks just got way faster, and way more consistent.
Teaching Three-Headed Dogs New Tricks! Fabled
Speaking of fan-favorite strategies, Fabled Duelists are gonna love this thing!  The Fabled theme has five Beasts you can Special Summon with Obedience Schooled, and that means free Synchro Summons.

The Fabled ChawaThe Fabled Catsith, and The Fabled Peggulsus are all Level 1 Tuners.  The Fabled Cerburrel’s a Level 2 Tuner, while The Fabled Nozoochee’s a Level 2 non-Tuner.  That means you can Special Summon three “Fabled” monsters, Tune Nozoochee and Cerburrel, and Synchro Summon The Fabled Kudabbi or The Fabled Unicore… and still have a Level 1 Tuner left over.

And there’s more.  There are plenty of cards like Key Mouse and Nimble Momonga, which trigger when they’re destroyed by battle; you can score cool effects by playing Obedience Schooled with stuff like Moja and Test Ape.  If your deck only plays two compatible Beasts, throw in an Oustanding Dog Marron; whenever it goes to the Graveyard, it heads back into your Deck to give you that third Beast you need again and again.  Mogmole’s cool, too: whenObedience Schooled destroys it, it just comes right back.

Obedience Schooled breathes new life into a bunch of different Beast strategies.  It’s a powerful card that makes tremendous combos, and you’ll find it in Legacy of the Valiant!
