| Time for me to talk about my most favorite deck of all time; gravekeepers. I have some real issues regarding the new support that has released in percival version, and I'd like to discuss them, and the future of the GK deck. Gravekeeper's ShamanThis card gains 200 DEF for each "Gravekeeper's" monster in yourGraveyard. Negate all monster effects activated in the Graveyard, except "Gravekeeper's" monster effects. While "Necrovalley" is on thefield, your opponent cannot activate Field Spell Cards, also Field Spell Cards on the field cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.Ok, this card is amazing. Granted, she's weak in attack points, like all of the other gravekeepers, but she's exactly what the deck needs, a stealth-mode, searchable boss card. As long as she's in play, you need not use backrow to protect your necrovalley, which frees up the deck's resources to use on cheap removal. While she is a high level monster, she's very easy to summon and therefore should be ran at 3 for maximum protection of your key cards.Gravekeeper's OracleYou can Tribute 3 monsters or 1 "Gravekeeper's" monster to Tribute Summon this card. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can apply a number of effects, up to the number of "Gravekeeper's" monsters that were Tributed for this card's Normal Summon.● This card gains ATK equal to the combined Levels of the Tributed monster(s) x 100.● Destroy all Set monsters your opponent controls.● All face-up monsters your opponent currently controls lose 2000 ATK and DEF.This beefy fellow is now key to the deck's removal. Getting him out means you get to mass destroy and weaken the opponents. The weakening is key since gravekeepers are often trumped by the meta's boss monsters. He's a burden of the mighty on legs that nukes whoever he can't see, and weakens those he can. While a good monster, run only 1 of him, if any, as you want to focus heavily on the Shaman's summon. Gravekeeper's DiscipleWhen this card is destroyed by battle with your opponent's attacking monster and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Gravekeeper's" monster from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Gravekeeper's Disciple".At first glance, this card may seem like a complete and total lifesaver for the gravekeeper duelist. A tutor for GK spy that summons it face down? unreal. However, there are weaknesses to consider. She must be destroyed by battle, with an attacking opponent's monster. This means she is weak to cheap removal, such as tenki/bear, She cannot use her effect unless she's destroyed by battle while in your control, and sent to your graveyard, making her less of a utility play, and more of a first-turn suprise to an unwary duelist. Nonetheless, she will see play in gravekeeper decks initially, at 3, because recruiter tutors her, and she tutors GK spy. I advise running 1, coupled with 3 mystic tomato to allow for creature-swap tactics.Gravekeeper's Ambusher When this card is flipped face-up: You can target 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard; return that target to the bottom of the Deck. If this card is sent to the Graveyard after being flipped face-up: You can target 1 "Necrovalley" card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. This card's effects cannot be negated by "Necrovalley".This card is very neat; First of all, he's stronger than the rest of the level 4 gravekeepers, can be summoned from the deck by Disciple, and he hates on the graveyard. Gravekeepers are notorious for controlling the grave, and now we have a beater that does just that for the deck. He's able to be tutored by Recruiter, meaning now you have more options, more threats, to frustrate your opponent with, while building your floating hand advantage. Personally, I'd run 1 of this card, as a utility play. Shrine of Necrovalley/Hidden Temples of NecrovalleyActivate only if both "Necrovalley" and a "Gravekeeper's" monster are on the field. Neither player can Special Summon monsters, except "Gravekeeper's" monsters. Destroy this card unless both "Necrovalley" and a "Gravekeeper's" monster are on the field.this card is nice for the deck, Basically, as long as you control a gravekeeper and necrovalley, this shrine prevents special summoning of any other type of monster. An excellent card for the beginner duelist picking up Gravekeepers, it can help you control the board from the getgo. However, the effect has way too many requirements, and the card will self-destruct if they aren't met, so an advanced Gravekeeper player would be unwise to use this card. Vanity's Emptiness works much better, and allows the deck to abuse trap stun to further press advantage. Run 0 of this card.Imperial Tombs of NecrovalleyWhen a Spell/ Trap Card or monster effect is activated, if both " Necrovalley" and a " Gravekeeper's" monster are on the field: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. You can only activate 1 "Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley" per turn. While this card has the same requirements as Shrine, it doesn't have the same speed, and therefore can work in this deck. Run 3, no exceptions. You want this in your deck. So, that said, I love some of the new tech, hate some of it, feel meh about most of it. Gravekeeper's Shaman and Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley are a welcome addition to the gravekeeper family, and in my mind, now justify the addition of Mystic Tomato to the deck. While further playtesting will be needed for me to come into maturity with these new cards, I'm pretty sure I've touched upon their strengths and weaknesses pretty well. |

| i would loved if they added a gravekeeper extra deck monster, instead of that bird thing or whatever it's supposed to be. |
