Welcome to the RDA Pokémon League!!
RDA Pokémon League is a Pokémon side event here at RDA.
At RDA PL, there will be gym leaders, ready to take on challengers. Find and defeat them in a Pokémon battle and you’ll receive their badge!

If you can collect eight badges, you’ll earn the right to challenge the Elite Four, and perhaps a Champion, for the right to be crowned a Champion yourself!

The RDA Pokémon League is not a Pokémon tournament. Just like in the Pokémon games, ANYONE can train a team of their favorite Pokémon and challenge the League!
Talk with gym leaders and challengers and prepare yourself for the Pokémon League Challenge!

Now for the boring part, the rules;

RDA PL Rules

1. HAVE FUN!! This is supposed to be an enjoyable activity, please don’t get stuck in semantics or any rules-lawyering.
   
2. Any activity that helps enrich the experience is acceptable and encouraged! Play as your favorite trainer, announce your moves to the public, and help us spread the word! This will not be a success without your enthusiasm!
   
3. Gym Leaders and Elite Four may be challenged once every day unless a rematch is accepted by the leader, but may be turned down depending on the circumstances. This is just so that everyone gets a turn to play, and everyone gets a shot at the champ. This is also to ensure that leaders are able to enjoy RDA PL too. We want to encourage all of you to spend lots of time at RDA PL doing more than just playing Pokémon.
   
4. On a similar note, the Gym Leaders and Elite Four are all volunteers and are trying to make this experience fun for you. We would appreciate it if you would return the favor. Try to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
   
5. All battles will be held on http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/
   
6. The challnger's may have 1 pseudo-legendary Pokémon or a mega-evolution, but no legendary pokémon
   
7. You are not allowed to change your team once you start. If you really must change your team. you must restart from gym 1 and you need to notify me about it. To make sure you are not changing teams you must send your team to the Event host, that’ll be me. EV's / IV's values may be changed in between matches.
   
8. For In-Depth Rules http://www.smogon.com/bw/banlist/ Follow the Clauses and the OU Bans.
   
9. As an addition to these rules, all gen 6 moves & items are allowed!! (No more dominating Dragons  ).
   
10. Team revealing is also strictly prohibited, do not reveal any Pokémon or strategy after battling a Gym Leader (Meaning You cannot watch another member’s match)
    
11. Do not ask for battles in the Thread, use PM's or the chat instead.
    
12. If a Gym Leader is inactive for a span greater than or equal to 2 weeks, and the Gym Leaders/I have not been informed of the reason for said absence BEFOREHAND, the Gym Leader will temporarily be replaced. No arguments.
    
13. You must defeat the 8 Gym Leaders to challenge the Elite Four.
    
14. You must defeat all 4 Elite Four to challenge the champion.
    
15. If you lose to either the Champion or a member of the E4 you have to restart at the start of the E4.
    
16. Failure to bring the correct team will result in a loss for that battle
    

When you want to send your team to me for approval, please use the follwing format :

Gym Leader Tournament
RDA PL needs Gym Leaders & E4 Member and of course also a Champion. To make sure we have all positions filled there will be a tournament to decide who is a gym leader, etc..

This event will be hosted on challonge and this will decide who will be where.
