Yea, I personally expected it to be something better than this. I don't see cool combos with it using a cool deck...

I've already made two potential decks to try out this card, depending on a confirmed effect. Clearly, it's trying to be reminiscent of the battle effect of Dark Magician of Chaos, a card that has graced the banlist for quite some time.

For those of you that are confused as to why the effect is distorted...

And I personally don't like this monster's effect, I was expecting something more advanced :/... like, special summon up to 3 Dark Magician Girls from your deck, hand or grave :pp lolol

It's cooler than Thunder End Dragon. That's all that matters.

Made the deck for him, tried out the custom downloaded version, it's pretty legit, being what it is. If you play it right you can get Sorcerer of Dark Magic on board too, which is practically game over for many decks, because of Norito plays. But it's hardly meta, just a throw back to the classics. A very much fun deck.

I dont see why that card is good.his effect only is usefull if you play normal spellcasters.
he doesnt protect himself or something. i realy dont see why that card is good.
it is just like other xyz, it is good in one deck only, not in all.
mermails,harpie, and allot of other rank 7 deck cant use that. except for spellbooks,
but now fate is at 1, spellbooks arent that good anymore.

It's Effective in Prophecy Reaper deck that runs Dark Magician OR other normal Spellcaster like Cosmo Queen or add a little Gimini Spellcaster Monster to balance it's Play...

Considering current cards, yes it won't go further than a fun card to run.. But if Konami went nuts and made some stuff to actually make that card turn into a card used in metas... well xD that would be fun too.
