So I decided to make these little card analysis articles. I'll try to post one at least once a week.
Rank 4 DARK Fairy-Type Xyz Effect Monster
ATK 2000
DEF 2500
2 Level 4 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a “Ghostrick” Xyz Monster you control, other than “Ghostrick no Datenshi” as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) When this card has 10 Xyz Materials attached to it, you win the Duel.
(1) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 “Ghostrick” Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand.
(2): Once per turn: You can attach 1 “Ghostrick” card in your hand to this card as an Xyz Material.
So there's a new ghostrick in town that's getting all the attention from the boys. She's quite the interesting damsel, but does she live up to the hype? Well let's look at what this card can do and what it can provide for the deck. The first thing you'll probably notice is that her effect allows you to automatically win the duel if you successfully attached 10 xyz material to her. Her additional effect helps you accomplish this, however, this is a gimmick and shouldn't actually be attempted unless your in it for the lols. The money maker comes from her Stratos-esque effect which lets you search for a ghostrick Spell/Trap once a turn. The real beauty of this card is that you can xyz summon it by using an existing ghostrick xyz on board. This means a lot for ghostricks and i'll explain why.
- Ghostrick Alucard & Dullahan:
You can add 1 ghostrick monster from you graveyard to your hand when alucard or dullahan is sent to the grave, so if you were to search a spell/trap with spoiled angel, you get an additional +1 if you detach a ghostrick xyz.
So, for example:
-Xyz summon Ghostrick Alucard
-Detach material to destroy 1 set card on the field
+1-Xyz summon Spoiled Angel with Ghostrick Alucard
-Detach Alucard to search 1 Ghostrick spell/trap card
+1-Add 1 Ghostrick monster from your graveyard to your hand via Alucard's effect
+1That play is a whopping +3 and it's very easy to pull off.
- Ghostrick Break:
When exactly 1 "Ghostrick" monster you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to the Graveyard: Target 2 "Ghostrick" monsters in your Graveyard with a different name than the destroyed monster; Special Summon them in face-down Defense Position.
You can gain even more card advantage with Ghostrick Break. Such a shame that both Angel and Break are exclusive to the OCG.
I'm sure Angel can provide more utility to the deck than what's already mentioned here. If you have anything to add about the card, post it here.
