| This was all first turn. Opening hand was Gustkraken, Tefnuit, Aquamirror, 2 Shadow, and Abyss. |

| i think one veiler or stopping the first xyz will stop the combo, and you(opponent) will get draw many cards with maxx "C". :V |

| the problem with your theory is, you minus yourself to use veiler, while the opponent has field presence. Maxx "C" is a thing, yes, but it's not mained in a lot of decks, and won't be as much anymore due to rulers going away. Players using it run 2 usually, so there's also the chance that you never draw into it. In addition, if they chain maxx, you simply stop special summoning and let your field presence stand as is. |

| its true that veiler and maxx "C" is many players run 2 copies of them each, and its rare to draw them at the right time, but thats not the only one cards that can stop the spawn, except the hieratics player doing it on the turn 1, then the only way to stop it is hand traps like veiler, maxx "C", etc, but if hieratics player doing it on other than turn 1, theres a chance that opponent setting 1 or more traps to stop the combos, if you talk about it can be prevented by a wingbeat giant dragon, mst, etc, so i will say same thing, that is rare to draw them at the right time (except if you lucky drawed tefnuit+wingbeat on starting draw). if they stop spawning then its good thing no? and many cards can used to stop the first xyz and it stopped all the spawning on that turn. btw, theres some otk decks that are about same broken as that combos, just search out on youtube user, YGOPRO OTK. |

| hieratics have backrow, too, and can just as easily be proactive in their use of removal. While you may have stopped the otk for now, it can happen every turn, dropping veiler and maxx "C" won't happen every turn. |

| ik the otk can happen anytime, but what i'm talking about is it can stop the spawn on that turn, so its safe from otk on that turn. about the opp can make comeback or not is not matter. |

btw, theres some otk decks that are about same broken as that combos, just search out on youtube user, YGOPRO OTK. None of this changes the fact that tearing cards out of the opponent's hand with nearly no way of preventing it is degenerate. This is why cards like Delinquent Duo and The Forceful Sentry were forbidden a long time ago. You be on the receiving end of Gustkraken/M7 combo a few times, and have 2-4 of your opening hand ripped from you while you have no response, then come back and say it's not a bad thing. The fact Maxx "C" exists doesn't make the strategy any less unhealthy for the game, just as Veiler's existence doesn't make BLS-EOTB any less degenerate. |

Good luck using traps on the first turn of the duel, in which the Gishki player is going first. |
